Lower the operating junction temperature of LED, the higher life-time of LEDs can be achieved. In National¡¯s datasheet of High Brightness LEDs, you can find the curve of LED lifetime versus operating junction temp. Normally, we should keep the junction temp of LEDs under 100oC by proper thermal management techniques, such as heat sink & forced cooling condition. |
